This lantern-style clock is a traditional early English design. The silver chapter ring and brass case is all hand engraved with incredible detail. This clock is a beautiful example of a time when the world was newly round and there was an exciting sense of new opportunity. The bracket is solid wood with an oak finish and theclock strikes the hour and the half-hour on two brass bells. Also featured are very intricate filigree hands and a large brass bell covering the case.The Cromwell is available in many configurations. Pictured is a wall-hanging version with hand-engraved decorations, also available is a hand-painted version as well as two mantel versions. All of the Cromwells have an antique-brass finish.
